Our Timeline
1980–1982 – Expansion into Geotechnical Engineering
The company relocated to the Youth Wing Building along Morogoro Road and expanded its technical capabilities by introducing geotechnical engineering services. This was marked by the acquisition of the DANDO 150 drilling rig from the United Kingdom.
1983–1984 – Rebranding to INTER-CONSULT
The firm rebranded to INTER-CONSULT, establishing a stronger corporate identity. Operations were moved to the TDFL Building along Ohio Street, positioning the company within the commercial heart of the city.
1998–2000 – Service Diversification & Leadership
Interconsult expanded into Architectural Design and Quantity Surveying services, aligning with AQRB requirements. During this period, Eng. Mark Njiu became the second Managing Director, guiding the company into a multidisciplinary future.
2003–2011 – Inter House & Global Recognition
The company completed and moved into its modern headquarters, Inter House. This era was marked by major achievements, including ISO 9001:2008 certification, the International Quality Era Award, the Golden Quality Award, and recognition as a Top 100 Mid-Size Company.
2012–2013 – Continued Excellence
Eng. Henry Chacky assumed leadership as the third Managing Director. The company maintained its position among Tanzania’s Top 100 Mid-Size Companies, reinforcing its reputation for consistency and quality.
2015–2016 – Sustainability & Project Excellence
Interconsult achieved recertification under ISO 9001:2008 and became a Corporate Member of the Tanzania Green Building Council. The firm also received the Best Project Award for the National Microfinance Bank building
2017–2019 – Transformation & Rebranding
Under the leadership of Eng. Martin David, Interconsult transitioned to ISO 9001:2015 certification and underwent a full corporate rebranding. The company earned multiple accolades, including the Platinum Technology Award, and continued its Top 100 recognition.
2022–2023 – Regional Leadership Recognition
Interconsult was honored with the Pacesetters East African Leadership Award in: Consulting Services Category (2022) Multidisciplinary Consultancy Category (2023) These recognitions affirm the company’s leadership across the region.
